Top Five Things to Take With You on a Long Flight

Long flights – you either love them or you hate them. Whatever the answer is, chances are that most of us have had to spend at least five hours on a plane. And if they are even longer, there are some essential tips and tricks.  We have compiled a short list with the top five essential must haves on your next long flight. These five things that will help you kill the time and feel more relaxed (than usual) when you land.

Noise Cancelling Headphones

This is one of the most essential things you can use to kill the time and cut down on the noise from the engines or overly-talking neighbours. They may not help with the crying baby, but at least you can put on some good music and keep yourself entertained for quite some time. But it is important that you invest in good ones, if you want to keep the noises to a minimum. My Suggestion is the Cowin E-7 Wireless Bluetooth. They are extremely comfortable, have about 30 hours of playtime and won’t break the bank.

External Chargers

External Batterie

No one wants to have their battery drained in the middle of the flight and sometimes there are no electrical outlets on the plane. And let’s face it, there’s no better way to kill an hour or two than when browsing through Facebook and Instagram or just playing an entertaining game. Amazon has some great deals when it comes to external chargers.  My recommendation is the AnkerPowerCore 10000. It will give you the ability to charge your phone 3 or more times and its smaller than a credit card to bad its not a thin. Just don’t forget to charge it to the max before your flight.

A Comfy Pillow

Waking up with neck pain is a total nightmare, especially when you are on a long flight. The seats might be uncomfortable and we all know how hard it is to find the proper position for a good sleep when you are sitting in a chair. The ultimate thing to pack for your flight is a comfortable pillow. There are plenty of options out there and you can choose the one that fits you the most – they are affordable and most important. If you need help suggest getting the Cabeau Evolution Memory Foam Travel Pillow. It is extremely comfortable with memory foam and gives 360 degree support.

Eye Mask

Another essential thing to pack that will help you get a good sleep while traveling. Most airlines usually provide passengers with eye masks, but oftentimes they can be uncomfortable and a bit scratchy so it is always best to bring your own one on the flights. There is nothing better than a eye mask that block all the light and lets you feel relaxed afterwards. I take my Bedtime Bliss mask with me everywhere even if I am not flying.

An E-reader

There’s no better way to pass the time than with a good book, or an e-reader, in hand. Catching up on that adventure novel you just don’t have the time to finish or reminiscing with a classic one – you have all the time you need on your flight. Just remember to set up the books before the flight and always keep your collection rich – just in case you need a back-up read. A great budget friend option is the Amazon Fire.

If you have those things with you on your next long flight, I promise you that you won’t get bored during the flight or land even more tired than you were before. It will definitely be an operation of success.
