Head to Croatia for an island getaway

May is the perfect time of year to go on a European adventure to Brac Island, off the coast of Croatia. In May, you’ll arrive just before tourist season, have absolutely beautiful weather. If that is not enough  you will see some of the clearest blue water you’ve ever seen.

With ferries going back and forth between the mainland Croatian city of Split and Brac Island multiple times a day, you’ll be able to explore to your heart’s content. On Brac, you’ll be able to relax in your bathing suit on some of the most amazing beaches in the world. If some how that gets boring you can hike inland to an untouched monastery. Also, we can’t forget the food! Everywhere you will find some delicious fresh fish and local olive oil.

For endless festivals, go to Chicago!

If you’re looking to let loose as Spring warms up your festive spirit, head over to the Windy City of Chicago. Chicago is full of festivals in May.

For beer fans especially, May is full of great opportunities including the Chicago Craft Beer Week. Usually in mid-May, and the Chicago Beer Classic festival that’s held in the historic Soldier Field Stadium.

With events going on every weekend you’ll have the option of seeing parades, food festivals, art festivals, music parties or battles of the bands, and more!

May in Mexico City is a warm, sunny, thriving city where you’ll experience perfect weather. If unbelievable perfect weather isn’t enough to get you looking at plane tickets. Then engaging in a bustling city full of beautiful parks, grand museums, and even ancient pyramids, will tip the scales!

As the month of May is really one of the best times of year to visit Mexico City, you’ll see lots of fellow tourists adventuring about, but prices usually stay reasonable when it comes to lodging and transportation, and there is always cheap delicious food available. If you visit in early May, you’ll even have a chance to see how locals celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

Take in the great outdoors at Zion National Park

Perfect for your instagram feed. Pack layers as you prepare to spend spring outdoors hiking through canyons, up mountain peaks, and seeing some of the world’s most beautiful sights.

The potential for a memorable May vacation in boundless. It often is when the weather is getting nice, and not quite high season and ruined by droves of tourist. If you found your self wanting to know more of why these are my top May Vacation pic’s stop by every week this month. Each week I will explore each in more detail.
